Trumpet Events was delighted to be involved in the Starlight Children’s Foundation’s national annual event, the Five Chefs Dinner.

This unique concept saw the best five chefs in each of five different states collaborate to give the Five Chefs Dinner guests a “money can’t buy” experience.

The series of events kicked off in Sydney at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel, where chefs Shaun Presland (Sake), Peter Doyle (Est.), Giovanni Pilu (Pilu at Freshwater), Warren Turnbull (Assiette) and Adriano Zumbo (Zumbo Café and Patisserie) tantalised the taste buds of 430 delighted guests and Kate Miller-Heidke’s feature performance earned a standing ovation.

The next stop was Brisbane’s Sofitel and here 500 guest feasted on dishes designed by Rhett Willis (Jellyfish), Pablo Tordesillas (Ortega), Mathieu Astier (Prive 249), Javier Codina (Moda) & Tony Percuoco (Tartufo).  Hosted by Gyton Grantley, the event also featured string quartet Maske.

The Melbourne Five Chefs Dinner was held at the Grand Hyatt.  With courses from Dan Hunter (The Royal Mail), Shane Delia (St Katherine’s), Frank Camorra (Movida), Jason Camillo (The Grand Hyatt) and Ian Burch and Darren Purchase (The Sweet Studio), 430 guests enjoyed mouth-watering creations.  Hosted by Dermott Brereton, guests were also wowed by a stand out performance from Paris Wells.

Arriving at the Pan Pacific Perth, the Five Chefs Dinner had the perfect setting for the gastronomic delights of Clint Nolan (Harvest), Kevin Pham (Nahm Thai), Brad Froehlich (Pan Pacific Perth), Matt Stone (Greenhouse) & Hadleigh Troy (Restaurant Amuse). International performer Lior treated guests to three songs and a copy of his latest CD!

The InterContinental Adelaide saw the final Five Chefs Dinner.  Hosted by Jane Reilly and Belinda Heggen, the stellar line-up of chefs included David Swain (Fino), Tony Hart (InterContinental), Tony Carroll (Jolley’s Boathouse), Kelly Delaney (Auge) and Tobias Gush (Chianti Classico).  Once again 300 guests dined on exquisite fare whilst enjoying the talents of Paris Wells.

The series of events was amazingly successful raising approximately $1.5 million for Starlight Children’s Foundation!
