In its 14th year the Red Ball has become the beacon of Melbourne's fundraising events.
Hosted by the Fight Cancer Foundation patron's Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Furness, the evening featured a spontaneous world first - a powerful live rendition of "The Man from Snowy River" by the original man from Snowy River, Tom Burlinson. This was followed by another world first - a 10 minute sneak preview, specially edited for the Red Ball by Baz Lurhman, of the highly anticipated movie "Australia". Top this off with a spectacular performance by Tom Burlinson of his sell out show, "Frank, a Life in Song" and you have another incredible night at the Red Ball.
